The layout for a converted PDF file was not transferred and has been completely ruined and distorted.
When the layout has not been transferred cleanly to Word, the error is generally not due to 7-PDF2Word. The problem usually lies with the PDF file itself, i.e. it contains errors, is defective etc.
To solve this problem, we have added an automatic repair and optimisation routine to our PDF printer software, 7-PDF Printer, which automatically repairs PDF documents when printing again to PDF (via Acrobat Reader or other PDF viewers).
The newly created file can then usually be converted with 7-PDF2Word without losing the layout.
Can I obtain the MSI installer?
Yes of course! You can install the PDF Writer using Group Policy Objects (GPO) under Active Directory. For that you need a set of MSI packages available in the download area for 7-PDF Printer.Category: 7-PDF Printer, Installation (general)
Why can I sometimes not edit any content inside Word after a PDF to Word Conversion?
You may NOT be able to produce editable Word documents if one of the following conditions applies:
The PDF was created by a scanner
The PDF is a form
* A scan to PDF simply embedds an image into the PDF. We would say, it's a PDF bluff package - however, you do not what the content from the PDF, rather from the image! So the method is not PDF2Word, rather OCR2Word.
I have entered watermark text in the print dialogue of the PDF printer. Why is it not shown in the PDF?
Watermarks are printed at a lower level or layer of PDF content. Some Windows applications, such as Internet Explorer, print a white background instead of a transparent background in the PDF document. This white background then prevents the watermark from being shown. In contrast, other programs, such as Microsoft Office, add a transparent background. The watermark is then visible.Category: 7-PDF Printer, Watermarks
Can I also use the PDF printer on 64-bit systems?
Yes. The PDF printer operates on both system versions, no matter whether it is a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. The installer automatically ascertains whether your operating system is a 32-bit or 64-bit system, and installs the relevant 32-bit or 64-bit printer driver.Category: 7-PDF Printer, Installation (general)

During installation I see the following error message: “Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000bc8). Unable to find a core driver package that is required by the printer driver package”
This error occurs on Microsoft Windows Vista when you have a defective driver cache file. In this case, delete the file C:\Windows\inf\INFCACHE.1 and restart the installer.Category: 7-PDF Printer, Installation (general)
Why does 7-PDF Maker produce blue underlined tables of contents and references?
Well, the definition of a link (style) is actually always blue. This is why 7-PDF creates blue links within the PDF documents so that these are also recognisable as references.Category: 7-PDF Maker
